Overview
The Ovideon LCS4240-TS is a versatile 42" Flat Screen LCD monitor with an integrated Optical Touch Screen, durable all metal construction and an ultra quiet, fanless design.

The LCS4240-TS Optical Touch Screen technology uses two line scanning cameras located at the corners of the screen. The cameras track the movement of any object close to the surface by detecting the interruption of an infra-red light source which is emitted in a plane across the surface of the screen.

At the heart of the Optical Touch Screen system is a circuit board called the Digital Signal Processor (DSP). The DSP receives signals from the cameras and runs software that compensates for optical distortions and triangulates the position of the finger (or any object) extremely accurately.

Because the system uses optical technology, no special surface coatings are required. A clear glass touch surface allows for maximum clarity of image and also avoids the effect of scratches or marks on the surface. In fact, on the LCS4240-TS optical touch screen, a touch registers just before the finger or object actually touches the surface.

The LCS4240-TS Optical Touch Screens does not require special software drivers; it incorporates an HID-compliant, USB plug-and-play interface.

In addition this 1920 x 1080 pixel, progressive scanning, 16:9 aspect ratio widescreen LCD monitor offers phenomenal moving picture performance with its 6.5ms LCD response time. Your dynamic messaging will look great under most lighting conditions as this monitor boasts brightness of 500cd/m² a high 1200:1 contrast ratio and a 176º H/V off axis viewing angle.

Its fanless design results in silent operation, low power consumption and overall energy efficiency. The LCS4240-TS comes with a component video input (YPbPr), DVI digital input, S-video input, a composite video input, VGA input and RS232C/RS485 for external control.
